I’m the business and entrepreneurship librarian at UNC Greensboro, beginning here in April 2001, awarded tenure in 2008, and now serving as an Associate Professor. I’m co-founder of Business Librarianship in North Carolina (BLINC), a member of ALA’s BRASS, and a Carolina Consortium negotiator. Recently I became co-chair of the Entrepreneurship & Libraries Conference. I serve as a Coleman Fellow for Entrepreneurship Education and teach ENT/GEO/LIS/MKT 430/630: Researching Opportunities in Entrepreneurship & Economic Development in the spring. I was awarded the BRASS Excellence in Business Librarianship award in 2020 and the PrivCo Prize for Excellence in Business Librarianship in 2015. I came to UNCG from Duke University, where I was the Digital Services Librarian and business specialist in Perkins Library. Before that, I was a librarian at Davenport College (now University) of Business in Holland, Michigan. I earned a BA in Medieval and Renaissance Studies from the University of Michigan in 1991, and a Master’s degree in Library and Information Science from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill in 1994.
