Abstract: It has been observed by teachers of beginning typewriting that pupils who achieve distinction in academic subjects do not always excel in typewriting, even when they put forth their best efforts. This often constitutes a real problem to the individuals who are anxious to maintain their high grades throughout their school life. It also challenges the typewriting teacher to discover and take account of factors other than intelligence and general scholastic abilities which may affect attainment of typewriting skill.
