Abstract: This research study investigates the gender gap in math and science classrooms across America. Research is conducted in two local high schools, one in rural areas and one in an inner city population. Science, Technology, Engineering and Math classrooms discuss why females do not excel in STEM classrooms and what can be done to close the gap.
