Abstract: This report is based on research conducted during the summer of 1973, supported by the Department of Anthropology and the Summer School of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. It has been prepared because it is believed that the results of archaeological investigations conducted in the State should be documented and deposited in appropriate archives where the information can be preserved and consulted by professional colleagues. It is in that spirit that the manuscript has been prepared, and therefore it is primarily a description of the research conducted and the data collected. Analysis continues at present, and it is hoped that results can be presented more fully at some future date.
