Abstract: Slides from a presentation given October 20, 2023 for the North Carolina Library Association (NCLA) Biennial Conference. With open access established as a sharing and publishing practice in many academic disciplines, some authors are increasingly expecting and seeking assistance in identifying opportunities and funding for their open access publishing activities. Libraries can have an important role in educating authors and helping them understand options, costs, and benefits. By contributing to open access support work, Libraries can help meet the needs of their constituents while also building community in this area.
