Abstract: Graduate students from the Culture, Learning, and Technology division recently hosted a webinar on critical theories and how they may be applied in learning design and research. This article presents an introduction to some of the challenges and opportunities in using critical perspectives in our work, and in our field, that emerged from the webinar discussions.
