Abstract: In Your Mother’s Eyes is rooted in the overwhelming peace I have found since giving birth to my first baby, Jayden. Through the display of growth, the progression of time, and emotional and physical perception, I am symbolically and literally creating representations of this new life as a mother and the tensions between the good it brings and the fears of not knowing how to be a good mom or what is best for a child. Created using the Procreate app on an iPad, digitally illustrated animations showcase the movement and repetition of time as I, the mother, am living by the sensitivity of time itself.
