Abstract: The world is in a global environmental crisis as a result of powerful human-caused situations: climate change, human-induced destruction, environmental injustice, and ecological devastation of our land, air, water, and living beings. The consequences are now being felt across generations with vulnerable populations feeling the heaviest burden of environmental injustice. The pace at which our planet is heating and the damaging impacts are repeatedly described by scientists as greatly outpacing their predictions. The urgency of the situation requires immediate action through interdisciplinary approaches with people from within communities taking leadership. For those who hold official positions of power, there is no longer room for the denial of the climate science; now is the time for enacting policies to protect the planet and all life.
