Abstract: Slides from a presentation given on November 10, 2017 at the American Association for School Librarians (AASL) National Conference in Phoenix, AZ. This session will provide an overview of best practices in reading comprehension instruction. Interspersed throughout the discussion will be an introduction to current educational technology tools, all of which are freely available online. Presenters will demonstrate how to use this technology to teach specific comprehension-based lessons, and attendees will have the opportunity to use their personal technology devices to follow along with the demonstrated activities during the session.
