Abstract: The literature related to posture research has been predominantly characterized by contradictions in research findings and differing views among authorities. The resulting confusion and misinformation have led some to conclude that relatively little is known about posture. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the nature, cause, and effect of selected problems related to posture research in an effort to interpret the posture literature in a proper perspective and to grasp a better understanding of future approaches to research.
