Abstract: The purpose of this study was to attempt to discern if there is a relationship between the admission/placement test scores of developmental students in English, reading comprehension, and mathematics in the community college and the developmental students1 final overall GPA at graduation. This relationship is determined by comparing the developmental students' entering scores on the admission/placement tests with their final overall GPA at graduation from the community college of their choice in their chosen field of study. The study was concerned only with graduated students who were designated as developmental after taking the admission/placement tests at Catawba Valley Community College, Davidson County Community College, Surry Community College, and Sampson Technical College.
