Peggy Trent, formally Peggy Hewitt, has been an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro since 2013. Prior to that she taught at Guilford Technical Community College for four years and worked as a staff nurse at Cone Health for 20 years. Her areas of expertise include medical-surgical nursing, adult health, community health, and RN-BSN education. Trent entered nursing through an associate’s degree program and has continued through a baccalaureate and master’s program. She is currently a DNP student at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. Trent enjoys all areas of nursing education and has a special interest in teaching pre-licensure clinical students and RN-BSN students.
