David Upton received his Ph.D. from Indiana University in 2006. He previously taught at Massey University in New Zealand. His teaching interests are in the areas of Cost and Managerial Accounting. His research interests include the role of accounting information in incentive contracting and performance measurement with a behavioral/experimental emphasis. He has published in journals including the Journal of Business, Finance and Accounting, Pacific Accounting Review, International Journal of Operations and Production Management and Asian Pacific Journal of Management. David is a member of the American Accounting Association and the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants.
