James A. Nelson
Mr. Nelson's interests include urban design and transportation planning, cartography, geographic information systems, and network administration. While at UNC-Charlotte, he received the student award for Outstanding Achievement from the ACSM for his map entitled Handicapped Accessibility Map for the University of North Carolina, Charlotte. As an Operating Systems analyst for SDSU, Mr. Nelson gained experience in networking and was responsible for maintaing multiple labs and student and faculty computers. He has experience in teaching geographic information systems and in the field of planning, having worked for the cities of Poway, California and Rock Hill, South Carolina.
