Jerry Pubantz
Dr. Pubantz holds an M.A. and Ph.D. from Duke University and a B.S.F.S. degree from the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University. His writings include works on the United Nations, U.S.-Russian Relations, the Middle East, and American Foreign Policy. He is the co-editor of the Encyclopedia of the United Nations (now in its second edition) and the co-author of The New United Nations: International Organization in the 21st Century and of To Create a New World? American Presidents and the United Nations, honored with CHOICE Magazine’s Outstanding Academic Title Award for 2000 by the American Library Association. Dr. Pubantz appears regularly on North Carolina television to discuss American politics and international affairs. He is a member of the Middle East Policy Council’s National Advisory Board, a former President of the North Carolina Political Science Association, the co-founder of the Southern Association of Pre-law Advisers, and the former Chairman of the National Collegiate Conference Association, corporate sponsor of the National Model United Nations in New York City. He has lectured at universities and colleges across the nation and internationally.
