Abstract: Survey responses were gathered from students using Joyner Library at East Carolina University in order to determine why students use the library, which services and resources they use, and the frequency of their visits to the library building and library website. The survey also included an option to give general feedback about the library and list any changes which would motivate students to use the library more. The 48 viable responses revealed that student respondents were more likely to interact with library staff in person than via chat, tend to use the library for study space and to check out educational materials, visit the building more often than the website, and would like to see an improvement in the tidiness of study rooms. Similar surveys could be implemented at other libraries to improve services and resources.
