Abstract: Prenatal exposure to endocrine disrupting chemicals can lead to birth defects and adult disease. While it is impossible to avoid pollutant exposure, development of a prenatal supplement that augments natural protective mechanisms would be invaluable. Here, I show that prenatal supplementation with sulforaphane reduces gene changes caused by a model endocrine disrupting chemical. Further the candidate mechanisms of resilience associated with this rescue were identified.
