Abstract: "Real People With Hollywood Stories" is a collection of creative journalism stories I've written to fulfill the requirements of the M.A. in English with a concentration in creative nonfiction. These are stories I discovered and had published or soon will have published in my work as a freelance journalist for GQ ESPN The Magazine and other media. My goal in life as a writer presently as a journalist and in the future as both journalist and novelist is to find fascinating stories of compelling real-life characters and tell them in a way that transports people away from the real world and their problems even if only briefly as any good story should. As a young man starting on this path these stories were phenomenal examples of what I should not only look for as a storyteller but look to employ in my own life.
