Abstract: North Carolina nurses have been represented in the state legislature intermittently since Sam Beam was elected from the 38th House District in 1980. This year we have the opportunity to elect five to the General Assembly, including four NCNA members. Each one deserves our collective support. Here are brief biographies of the outstanding nurse leaders from NCNA in alphabetical order by last name.
