Abstract: Jungian psychology has several special implications for helping older people and understanding their development in old age. The implications are discussed as tenets which apply to this time in life. These tenets are: 1) The meaning and purpose of life, 2) the turning inward and preoccupation with self, and 3) the reversal into the opposite.
