Abstract: Each issue of 3 major rehabilitation journals published during the past 10 years was reviewed to determine the extent of refereed article authorship of by women. The results indicate that although women are becoming more frequent authors of journal articles, they still have a long way to go to achieve numbers of publications equal to their male counterparts. An additional finding of the study was a dearth of professional articles addressing the needs of disabled women.
