Abstract: In this project a mathematical model of DNA-protein binding dynamics was developed for an induced system in the GAL network of genes in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. Experimental data gathered by chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP) was the basis for our investigations and the resulting model can be observed to roughly approximate the behavior displayed by the experimental data. Furthermore, a parametric sensitivity analysis of the model showed that its behavior was most dependent on the turnover rate of the induced and constitutive proteins.
