Abstract: Throughout history, humankind has produced artistic visual images, but in the last few centuries we can see the evolution of the discipline regarding Art Education. Throughout our ever evolving and changing times, there have been many debates and philosophies regarding the best way to educate students in the field of art education. In order to truly understand our current system of art education, we need to examine how art education evolved over the years. The main focus of the research is with the evolution of art education from 1980 - 2006.
