Sonja R. Eubanks

Sonja R. Eubanks, Assistant Director of the UNCG Genetic Counseling Program holds a master's of science in genetic counseling from the University of South Carolina. Ms. Eubanks coordinates and teaches courses in Human Medical Genetics and in Genetics in the Community, facilitates a journal club course, oversees the clinical placements of graduate students, and assists students with their graduate level research projects. While Ms. Eubanks primarily teaches graduate students, she has also taught a Genetics and Ethics course for undergraduate students at UNCG. Ms. Eubanks practices genetic counseling in both prenatal and pediatric settings in the Moses Cone Health System in Greensboro, NC. Ms. Eubanks is a member of the National Society of Genetic Counselor's Ethics committee, helping genetic counselors sort through ethical issues that arise in practice.
