Abstract: To fulfill the community outreach component of the NC Schweitzer Fellowship, this is in an Op-Ed written about a health issue related to the Schweitzer project of Brody School of Medicine Fellow, Julianna Roupas. The article explores the importance of prioritizing nutrition in medical education in order to provide future physicians with the tools to proficiently address the idea that food is medicine with vulnerable patients.
