Abstract: Every club opening is the same and every club opening is different. The basic functions, organizational structure, facilities, and activities are similar in most golf or country clubs, but the size, design, construction, number of buildings, timing of completion, membership makeup and specialized activities make each club unique. While a Club Opening Plan can provide generalities, the specifics of each opening will determine the deviltry of detail. This Opening Plan attempts to provide the experience of the management team during the pre-opening and opening of the Point Lake and Golf Club in Mooresville, NC in 1999 and 2000.
