Abstract: This is a weekly Q and A newspaper column under the byline of Dr. Kathy Kolasa. Today's column is about medicinal mushrooms and some if the potential benefits and risks, especially related to cancer and neurogenerative disease. The most popular mushrooms available locally either fresh, dried or as a dietary supplement are described (e.g. Maitake, Reishi, Chaga)
