Abstract: The world must eventually face the problem of overpopulation. It is becoming evident that there are simply too many mouths to feed. That the rate of growth for any given population may not be geometric or any other rate is irrelevant. What is relevant is that a population may increase too rapidly. This Malthus made the central theme of his "Essay."
