Abstract: A simple unprecedented microwave synthesis of size controllable copper sufide (CuS) nanodiscs is reported. The experimental results and density functional theory (DFT)-calculated results show charge carrier densities on the order of 1021 cm-3 with an effective mass of 0.3me, resulting in near-metallic properties.
