Abstract: The purpose of this research is to measure the opinions of students at Pembroke State University concerning the proposal to change the name of the school to the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. The idea of changing the name of the school is not a new one. The name of the school was changed several times before reaching its present state. Lately, there has been talk about changing the nae of the school once again. Whether the name should be changed is not the purpose of this project. Instead, this paper will try to measure the opinions of different sections of the student body.
