Abstract: In the six decades of the post-South era at Brunswick Town , interest in the site has been sustained through studies , symposiums , historical publications , textbooks and the evolution of methodology developed there. Archaeology has been limited and generally completed through CRM projects. More recently , several field schools have examined areas South was unable to investigate fully. East Carolina University is undertaking a long-term and comprehensive study of Brunswick Town. The goal of this research design will be a synthesis of the previous archaeology with the documentary record to identify areas for future research.
