Abstract: These stories are about the Imagination. They seek not so much to explain as to chart its excursion from whatever unknown recess of the soul it emerges to its refashioning of those forms of life it encounters. The first story, "De Profundis," has to do with the awakening of the imaginative faculty; the second, "A Nice Little Story," concerns the imagination's tapping of its own mysterious existence.
