Abstract: In very basic terms, the aim of a thesis comprised of short fiction is to put together words in such a way that clear, visual, believable, and interesting stories emerge. This is what I have attempted to do in "The Waiting Room," "The Creak," and "The Tie that Binds," three short stories of widely varying themes. My further purpose is to show people not at their best nor at their worst but at their most honest.
