Abstract: This study was planned to determine the effects of use upon the performance of sheetings manufactured from cottons with specific properties of length and strength. One group of sheets was laundered only while a similar group was used and laundered. Sheets from both groups were withdrawn for testing after established numbers of launderings. Measurements of fabric weight and tearing strength, the test results used in this study, were considered good indices of the effects of wear. It was assumed that a comparison of sheets that were used and laundered with those that were laundered only gives an indication of the effects of use. The data included results from the original or unlaundered sheetings and from sheetings after five and fifteen launderings.
