Abstract: It seems that nursery schools are becoming more family centered. Before a child enters nursery school, the family has been the center of his world. It is through this world that the nursery school teacher begins to know and understand the child. The parent and the teacher work together as the nursery school tries to supplement the home. Moustakas and Berson state, "The nursery school seeks to maintain a creative relationship with the individual parent and the parent group. Acceptance, respect, and cooperation are basic attitudes in this group."1
