Abstract: The purpose of this qualitative/quantitative study was to examine the first two years of the implementation of a year-round education program in the elementary schools of the Mooresville Graded School District in Mooresville, North Carolina. Multiple comparisons were made between the results for students enrolled in the traditional and year-round programs to determine if differences existed in the outcomes of the two at the conclusion of two years. Areas included in the study were student attitudes, student attendance, student achievement, and teacher attitudes.
