Abstract: The purpose of the study was to examine how preservice teachers' expressed their perspectives on teaching and how those perspectives changed during student teaching. The focus was primarily on how they expressed these perspectives through their reflections in and on actions. The investigation was a case study with four student teachers who were elementary education majors. Four cooperating teachers were paired with the student teachers to assist with support, observations, and evaluations. One university supervisor supervised all four student teachers.
