Abstract: In the field of foreign language education, the progress being made in enhancing multi-cultural understanding and providing the student with a comprehension of alternative world views has been very slow. Most cultural instruction is focused on trivialities and does little to stimulate deep cultural reflection. The goal of this study was to explore a method designed to lead the student to appreciate diverse ways of interpreting social reality and to foment contemplation on the student's own world view.
