Abstract: The main purpose of this article is to provide a series of science lessons for grades K-5 geared around the work and life of wildlife biologist Frances Hamerstrom (1907-1998), thus imprinting on students and teachers one naturalist,s amazing life and giving them a perspective of how far the study of ecology and preservation has come in this century.
