Abstract: Abstract from Review of The Chicago Manual of Style (17th edition):This review focuses on the published 1,144-page hardcopy print edition of the 2017 University of Chicago Press’ The Chicago Manual of Style 17th edition (CMS). Readers also may subscribe to the online edition at www.chicagomanualofstyle.org/home.html. This edition, like the previous other editions, consists of 16 chapters organized in three parts: Part I: The Publishing Process; Part II: Style and Usage; Part III: Source and Citations and Indexes. The Preface details all of the changes made in each chapter from the previous edition. This 17th edition recognizes that presently “publishing generally relies on digital technologies (even for print)[…]” (Preface). The changes and revisions made in this edition recognize the myriad ways information is found, captured and retrieved, including more coverage to sources online and “choosing the best form of link to cite” (Preface).DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.1108/RR-02-2018-0024
