Abstract: Slides from a presentation on recycling and reusing metadata. Recycling and reusing metadata not only saves time, but also helps with quality control. When UNCG migrated to WorldShare Management Services (WMS), we were afraid that the capability of exporting and reusing our records was lost. But, after a few updates to the system, saved lists emerged to help us out. This presentation will focus on how to use saved lists to get metadata out of WMS and into CONTENTdm, along with a brief explanation of what we did to get the records out of OCLC Connexion Client (for non-WMS users). It will also highlight some factors we are considering when images are harvested later from CONTENTdm and turned back into MARC records in OCLC. Delivered August 7, 2015 at the Southern CONTENTdm Conference in Nashville, Tennessee.
