Abstract: The Wolves of Drowning Creek is a novel-in-progress set in Robeson County, North Carolina, in the 1950s. With characters influenced by the author’s family, the novel addresses issues of family, racism, classism, and segregation in the rural, agrarian South prior to the Civil Rights Movement.
