Abstract: Dr. Gavin Smith introduced Governor Hunt by recounting his experiences as his advisor during and after Hurricane Floyd as assistant director of the North Carolina Division of Emergency Management. He spoke about the Governor’s tireless conviction and dedication to obtaining resources from the federal government for the people of the state.
