Jaida Ellis

Prince George’s County, Maryland native Jaida Ellis transferred to Elizabeth City State University in Fall 2018. In the summer of 2019, the psychology major was chosen by her department’s Head to assist in a Department of Homeland Security funded project that examined the mental health effects of hurricanes in Northeastern North Carolina. Since the summer research, Ms. Ellis has presented her findings at conferences and to her college peers. Her team’s project and results have also been featured on the DHS and DHS affiliated web pages. Having now received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology, Ms. Ellis plans to pursue her Ph.D. in Social Psychology with a concentration on cultural and environmental concepts in the area.
