Joseph C. Bundy

Truly a product of UNCG's Biology Department, Joseph Bundy began his academic career in the Fall 1987 as an undergraduate Biology major with a goal of becoming a high school biology teacher. After getting his B.A. degree in 1991, he went on several unsuccessful job interviews at several school systems. In 1992, he decided to go to graduate school at UNCG to get a Master's degree in order to improve his chances of getting that high school teaching job. It was during that Fall 1992 semester that he received a teaching assistantship in the Biology Department, teaching courses in Introductory Biology lab and, later, Microbiology lab. After completing the requirements for his M.Ed., his first teaching job was not at a local high school, but rather at nearby Guilford College, teaching their General Zoology lecture and lab courses on a part-time basis.
