Faye Stewart
Faye Stewart (pronouns: she/her/hers in English and sie/ihr in German) is Associate Professor of German Studies and cross-appointed faculty in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at the University of North Carolina in Greensboro. Her teaching and research interests include East German visual culture, refugees and citizenship, Black German belonging, Islam in Europe, debates about capital punishment, the fiction of Antje Rávik Strubel, and queer transnational cinema. She belongs to the Grenzenlos Deutsch collective, which has created an open-access beginning German curriculum.
