Roberta "Robin" Maxwell
After receiving both a Bachelor's Degree (1982) and a Master's Degree (1984) from UNCG, I remained at UNCG as a lecturer. My thesis work was with Neurospora crassa, studying the effect of conidiogenesis on the transmission of a maternally inherited trait with Dr. James F. Wilson. Dr. Wilson and I worked together on a grant to investigate and prevent bacterial spoilage of reconstituted leaf for Lorillard Tobacco Corporation (3 years). At UNCG, I have taught Microbiology Labs and lectures, Invertebrate Zoology labs, Biology for Majors and Non-Majors lectures and labs, and guest lectures in Marine Biology on Marine Invertebrates. I have also taught Microbiology, in temporary assignments, in the Medical Technology Program at Moses Cone Memorial hospital (1 year) and Bowman Gray School of Physician Assistants (3 years).
