Dorothy Kersha-Aerga is an Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice in the Department of Criminal Justice, Sociology and Social Work. She holds a Law Degree (LLB) from Ahmadu Bello University Nigeria, a JD from Nigerian Law School and a Masters and Ph.D in Juvenile Justice from Prairie View A & M Texas. Prior to joining Elizabeth City State University, in August of 2010, she taught at Benedict College South Carolina. Dr. Kersha-Aerga has taught the following courses: American Constitution Law, Juvenile Delinquency, Juvenile Justice, Criminology, Introduction to Criminal Law, Crime in America, Probation Pardon and Parole, Contemporary Issues in Criminal Justices and Court System. Dr. Kersha-Aerga research interest includes Juvenile delinquency, Gangs and Minority issues.
