Abstract: This study was designed to determine: (a) the effect of test-wiseness instruction generated from a model of direct instruction on reading comprehension scores of university freshmen, and (b) to determine how test-wiseness instruction generated from a model of di­rect instruction interacts with the gender of university freshmen.
