Abstract: All altruism/donating studies which have introduced age as one of the variables have shown that age is positively correlated with altruism. Piaget (1928) has suggested that a sociocentric orientation (understanding the viewpoint of another) begins around the age of 8. The writer of this study was interested in the relationship between sociocentric orientation and altruism.
